Ten days of remarkable and awe-inspiring safari experience, travel across Kenya and Tanzania’s most famous African safari destinations. You will visit the renowned Masai Mara, Serengeti, Tarangire National Parks and the Ngorongoro Crater. These parks allow the chance to see the “Big 5” (Elephants, Lions, Buffalo, Rhinos and Leopards).
This itinerary has been crafted to maximise your chances of experiencing the Great Migration. You will visit the Masai Mara and the Serengeti, where most of the wildebeest migration is usually found from July to October, particularly the high drama of a river crossing at the Mara River.
The great wildebeest migration is the movement of over two million wildebeest, accompanied by numbers of zebras and smaller gazelles. They move in a relatively predictable annual pattern within Serengeti – Masai Mara Ecosystem. They migrate constantly seeking fresh grazing and, it’s now thought, better quality water.
Then your journey continues through the Central Serengeti (must-see’ on every safari); the site offers superb game viewing all year round due to its abundance of resident animals. You will then visit the UNESCO-protected World Heritage Ngorongoro Conservation Area, a pioneering experiment where people (the Maasai), livestock, and wildlife co-exist and share the same protected habitat. The stunning Ngorongoro Crater is home to thousands of everyday animals, including the rare black rhinos, elephants, and a large predator population of lions.
Finally, visit the renowned Tarangire National Park; the park is famed for its excellent diverse ecosystem, boasting one of the largest concentrations of elephants in East Africa and its vast numbers of elephants and baobab trees.
A bespoke experience created to maximized by adventure and luxury.
On arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, our driver will meet and pick you up, and you will be transferred to your Eka Hotel for rest and leisure.

Our safari guide will pick you up from the airport or hotel, followed by a safari briefing session before commencing the drive to Masai Mara National Reserve. Along the way, you will enjoy scenic views of the Great Rift Valley; you will have a stop for hot lunch before reaching the iconic Masai Mara.
You will enjoy an afternoon game viewing until sunset as you track the Big Five animals and numerous plains games. Then, later in the evening, drive to your camp for relaxation, dinner and overnight.
The Masai Mara is one of Kenya’s most sought-after game-viewing areas. The reserve itself covers 700sq miles of magnificent wilderness. It is the Africa of your imagination, with endless reaches of acacia-dotted grasslands studded with hazy hills.

After a delicious breakfast, you will depart for the day discovering the Mara game reach areas in search of the Big Five animals and the wildebeest migration. However, you can opt for separate morning and afternoon game drives and return late in the evening for relaxation, dinner and overnight.
Masai Mara offers such wide-ranging and abundant wildlife that it is difficult to comprehend. Over 450 species have been recorded, including lions, rhinos, hippos, crocodiles, giraffes, wildebeests, zebras, buffalo, warthogs, hyenas, jackals, wild dogs, leopards, many kinds of antelopes and elephants.
In the Mara, the most spectacular natural world event happens, ‘‘The Great Annual Migration,” of millions of wildebeest and zebra from the Serengeti (in Tanzania) in search of water and pasture. Following their heels are the savannah predators: lion, cheetah, wild dog, jackal, hyena and vulture.

Wake up early and enjoys your last breakfast in Masai Mara; check out and depart to the Kenya-Tanzania border Isebania (Sirare) with packed lunch upon reaching the border point for immigration and customs procedures. Next, you will exchange the vehicle and the tour guide and drive to the iconic Serengeti arriving in the afternoon with an en-route game drive and heading to the camp for dinner and overnight.
The park has 14,763 sq. km and more than 4 million large mammals live in total wilderness freedom. The park is unquestionably one of the best-known wildlife national parks globally. It is renowned for its annual wildebeest migration of 2 million wildebeests, hundreds of thousands of zebras, and antelopes. As for the big cats and large predators, it’s the place to look out for lions, cheetahs, leopards, and hyenas, with many television scenes like the famous River Crossings filmed in this park.

Today, after an early breakfast, you will depart for a morning game driver until noontime, whereby you will drive back to you for hot Lunch and a little leisure. Then another afternoon game viewing around Mara River late in the afternoon.
You will begin a journey to explore the northern Serengeti, the prominent Mara River, where large numbers of hippos and Nile crocodiles and the Hundreds of thousands of desperate wildebeest and Zebras fold together on the banks of the river and wait to cross. Witnessing the river crossing takes patience and a little luck, as the herd will often take hours to decide whether or not to travel, weighing the risk of crocodiles and the strength of the river’s current.
The Mara River is the last major obstacle between the Wildebeest Migration and the relative safety of the Maasai Mara; the animals that successfully avoid the awaiting crocodile jaws and make it over the river are rewarded with the green pasture of the renowned Masai Mara National Reserve. Moreover, the northern Serengeti has many resident animals, including hippos, lions, elephants, giraffes, warthogs, cheetahs, and Leopards, and if you are lucky, you may see the endangered black rhino.

Today after a morning game drive, drive to Central Serengeti for dinner and overnight. The Central Serengeti offers excellent wildlife viewing throughout the year; however, in April-June and November, you may have a chance to see thousands of zebras and wildebeest attributed to the great migration as they pass through this area. However, the herds tend to be more spread out as there are moving between locations.

Wake up early for breakfast, followed by departure drive eastwards to visit another spectacular setting for Tanzania’s wildlife, the famous Ngorongoro Crater. Upon arrival, you will descend into the crater floor for incredible wildlife viewing in one of the most splendid places exploring Africa’s Garden of Eden. There will be plenty of time to enjoy another show in the Ngorongoro Crater, often called the world’s wonder.
The Ngorongoro Conservation Area is a pioneering experiment where people (the Maasai), livestock, and wildlife co-exist and share the same protected habitat. The stunning spectacle of the Ngorongoro Crater, its steep walls falling some 610 meters to the floor, is undoubtedly one of the highlights of a safari tour in Tanzania. The crater floor is home to thousands of everyday animals, including the rare black rhinos, zebras, wildebeests, gazelles, hippos, elands, elephants, and a large predator population of lions, hyenas, and jackals.
After some exploring, enjoy a lunch picnic in the crater’s heart before we take in some more sights and drive up the steep road out of the crater, heading to your accommodation in Karatu for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast, you will be picked up by your safari guide and depart to Tarangire National Park for a full-day game drive. During midday, you will have a stop for a picnic lunch; the picnic area is fascinating, boasting an observatory with amazing views of the Tarangire River and wildlife; sometimes, there’s a good chance of seeing a hunt while having your picnic. Continue with a game viewing until sunset, then drive back to your accommodation for dinner and overnight.
Tarangire is excellent and has a diverse ecosystem, boasting one of the largest concentrations of elephants in East Africa. The park is almost 3000 sq km and is best known for its many elephants and baobab trees. The park’s name comes from the Tarangire River, which crosses through the park.
The park is remarkable during the dry season (June – November) as wildlife concentrations rival the Serengeti National Park. This is because enormous populations of elephants and other animals are drawn to the Tarangire River as their only water source.

After breakfast, pack your bags and say farewell as you depart to Arusha or Kilimanjaro International Airport for drop-off. Wave goodbye and enjoy an en-route morning game drive as you exit the famed Tarangire National Park.
